Casa Donoso D 2005, 91 points at Guia de Vinos de Chile 2010
December 9th, 2009
Our Casa Donoso D 2005 has been distinguished twice with 91 points, firstly by Wine Spectator and secondly by the latest version of the annual Guia de Vinos de Chile (N°16, December 2009) as the best premium wine of Chile.
The panelists for this event commented the following:
"A beautiful intense and deep red color, brilliant and lightly evolved, well conserved. A fine and elegant bouquet, with delicate notes of cherries, plums, cassis blended with tobacco, cedar, smoke, a touch of black olives, very complex and well interwoven. Flavorful, pleasing and very well balanced on the palate with a harmonious blend of the oak and fruit, silky mature tannins, all of which give you an elegant and persistent wine. Truly an extraordinary example from the Maule Valley. We have not tasted many vintages of this wine, but without a doubt, it is an exceptional wine of great elegance and maturity, one of the top rated of the Guia and highly recommended."
