Tasting Notes:
This wine will charm you with its dark red color, tinted with violet hues. One will find blackberry, roses, dark chocolate and menthol in its bouquet. Its palate has a lively structure with chewy tannins; creating a great taste experience.
Varieties:
40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Malbec, 20% Carmenere and 10% Cabernet Franc. All the varieties are estate grown from Sandy Clay Loam
Harvest:
Only hand-picked grapes, during the second week of April and the beginning of May 2004.
Ageing:
Aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
Harmony with food:
When young, it is an excellent companion for a variety of red meats. When aged, serve with game or a stew in a rich sauce.
How to drink:
Cellaring until 2012: Decant the wine and let it breath for one hour, serve at 16°C (60,8°F) in a wide glass. After 2012: decant and serve at 18°C (64,4°F) in an elegant glass.
Age capacity:
2017, if the wine is stored between 15°C (59°F) to 18°C (64,4°F).
